My name is Yanina and as a working mom of two toddler boys (3 and 5), I know the challenges of trying to balance work, life, play, and REST. My oldest son would wake up every 45-60 minutes throughout the night, EVERY NIGHT for the first eight months. I knew we needed to do something. Then, one sleepless night as I held my beautiful first-born, praying that he would go back to sleep, I saw an ad for Sleep Sense, and from that moment, our lives changed forever. After implementing the program myself, my son started to sleep through the night and was able to sooth himself if he woke up in the night. Bedtime ceased to be a battle of wills and naps became restful and longer. My youngest son was dependant on props (a soother and ME) to fall asleep. But after implementing the program with him at 15 months old, he is a now a little champ.
Our children change, develop and grow so fast that the sooner we give them the GIFT of healthy sleep habits, the more enjoyable parenthood becomes. Strategies will change with time, but with a good foundation, the good sleep habits with continue.
It is now my passion to teach and support other parents in this journey, as I know first hand the effects lack of sleep has on children and families.
